RESEARCH:
Dr. Mayor conducts research and development in the areas of atmospheric lidar, aerosols, and boundary layer meteorology. He maintains the Raman-shifted Eye-safe Aerosol Lidar (REAL) at Chico State. He is currently a member of a National Academies committee entitled Effectiveness of National Biosurveillance Systems: BioWatch and the Public Health System and principal investigator of a 3-year grant from the National Science Foundation's Physical and Dynamic Meteorology program entitled Horizontal Vector Wind Field Measurement with Eye-Safe Elastic Lidar.
